Alert! Paytm found out the number of 3500 fraudsters, calling and emptying accounts viciously

Paytm Paytm Payments Bank has listed a list of 3,500 phone numbers to the Ministry of Home Affairs, TRAI and CERT-In. These are the same phone numbers from which calls and messages are made to entice customers into the trap of fraud. The PPB has also lodged an FIR against these people.

New Delhi (PTI) Paytm Paytm Payments Bank (PPB) has prepared a list of 3,500 phone numbers. PPB has recently listed this list to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), TRAI and CERT-In recently. This includes phone numbers used to cheat consumers, and a list of SMS shortcodes. These are the same phone numbers by which customers are caught in the trap of calling and messaging. Sometimes accounts of customers become empty within minutes.

FIR was also registered for immediate action against criminals

The PPB claimed that to prevent the scam, an FIR has also been lodged with the cyber cell for immediate action against these criminals. In a series of meetings with TRAI, Ministry of Home Affairs and CERT-In officials, PPB explained sensitive information gathering and phone SMS and call scams that affect digital payment users. CERT-is the agency handling these computer security related matters.

This type of fraud would have destroyed the trust of millions of Indians.

Paytm Payments Bank has said in a statement that in a meeting with the officials, the company made it clear that such fraud breaks the confidence of millions of Indians. It also said that banks like PPB can identify the phone numbers of these fraudsters. At the same time, future frauds and scams can be prevented with the help of law enforcement agencies, regulators and telecom operators.
